Jillian Marie is a new-to-me author, and after finishing book three in The Kind of Perfect series, I am officially hooked. The angst, character development, and emotional depth completely won me over. Books one and two are immediately going on my TBR.

This is the perfect summer beach read featuring a surfer MMC and a photographer FMC who live on opposite sides of the country, yet their connection is impossible to ignore. From what I've heard, Meredith and Evan's slow burn has been building throughout the first two books, and their payoff in book three was absolutely worth the wait.

If you love emotional summer romances that pull at your heartstrings, especially if you're a fan of Abby Jimenez or Carley Fortune, this one deserves a spot in your beach bag.

I skipped the content warnings before reading, and for me, that made the story even more impactful. Nothing felt overly triggering, but experiencing the twists and emotional moments without knowing what was coming made the story hit that much harder.
