Just Friends by Haley Pham
⭐️ Closed Door Romance | Second Chance | Dual Timeline | Small Town

I was so excited to find a book I could share with my teen daughter!

Just Friends is the debut novel from social media creator Haley Pham, and it’s a completely SFW, closed-door romance that would be perfect for a multi-generational book club — or honestly, anyone who loves an angsty second chance love story.

Blair and Declan grew up together and were inseparable best friends throughout high school. After a falling out their senior year, their lives take very different paths — until Blair returns to Seabrook years later to help her mom and Great Aunt Lottie.

Told in dual timelines, this story explores:

Second chances (my favorite trope)

The messy transition into adulthood

Small-town roots

And the realization that our elders are people with full, complicated stories too

There’s plenty of angst, heartfelt moments, and emotional growth — but it stays clean the entire time.

For a debut novel, this was such a strong first step into fiction. I can’t wait to see what stories Haley Pham shares next.

Perfect if you love:
✔️ Second chance romance
✔️ Childhood best friends to more
✔️ Small-town settings
✔️ Closed-door / clean romance

Would you read this with your teen? 💛
